Whether you’re at the veterinary clinic for a routine check up or an emergency, when you pay with a Scratch Plan you can rest easy knowing that your personal information is safe, that your transaction is secure and that we’ll be there for you (A to Z) if a dispute ever arises.
The following principles outline Scratch Financial's Pet Parent Protection policy. It’s just one more way that we help remove the stress from paying for pet care so that you can focus on what matters, the health of your pet.
KEEPING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SAFE
Scratch Financial, Inc. uses 256 bit SSL protection, high levels of security and strict encryption standards to keep your online transactions guarded from start to finish. We will never sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK
When you pay your veterinary bill using a Scratch Plan you’ll never have to worry about deferred interest or hidden fees, period. No origination fees for all loan products. Standard fees (i.e. Late fees, Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)/Dishonored payment fees, and Convenience fees) may apply, so please review the terms presented to you during application carefully. You take care of your pet, and we’ll help take care of the rest.
A TO Z DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If you have a credit bureau dispute or think you’ve been a victim of identity theft we’re here to help guide you to a resolution, every step of the way.
If you believe Scratch Financial has inaccurately reported information about you to a credit reporting agency, it’s important that you first try to get in touch with the credit bureau directly; most have a quick and easy “dispute” button on their website. Then you should get in touch with Scratch Financial at 855-727-2395 or email our Support Team at [email protected]. Please make sure to have your Scratch Plan Confirmation Number handy, along with a copy of your credit bureau report reflecting the information that you believe is inaccurate.
If you believe that you have been the victim of identity theft, please submit an identity theft police report to us within (i) 60 days of the date the charge first appears on your Scratch Plan statement, as applicable, or (ii) 30 days from the date we first notified you that your payment is due. You can file a claim by getting in touch with a friendly Support Team member at 855-727-2395 or by emailing us at [email protected].
If you believe that a veterinary clinic has made an error with your bill paid with a Scratch Plan, it’s important that you first contact the veterinary clinic to try and resolve the problem with them directly. You should also file a claim with Scratch Financial by submitting the invoice in question within 30 days from the date we first notified you that your Scratch Plan payment is due.
